i personally love fire mage and i usually get around 110% or more effort and i work hard to help my team.

but there are these *cough* people (not going to say who) that will trash talk directly to the fire mages. and i can not go through a day without someone getting all over your case.

for "running away" from a melee class or "not being in the front lines with everyone else"

now im going to assume EVERYONE knows what a mage can do in distance and melee.
if not, we can only assist the team by atacking as a group or from a distance. we CAN'T do a 1v1 against a melee with out dodging or "running" in their words.

so i ask, why do they get so mad at fire mages that even if you have high effort the will kick you out or rage all over you?

Same reason why people hate snipers in FPS.

They don't like how they can't hit you without having to chase after you, and in LS, you can double jump and teleport.

Jacking the teleportation hat from Fire Mages is great for melee classes.

the only thing i wish was different was the stupid fire resistance cape...its pointless unless your against another mage, and even then you both just end up using it over and over, creating stale gameplay

and people who complain about running fire mages are fools. its a magic class and it has a 2 hit combo. The original purpose of the fire mage was to snipe with its main magic attack (meteor)
also...i know that i only run away to set up good position for myself or if im being pursued by more than one person.

plus everyone has their own style so really there should be no conflict

i didn't say they can't win a 1v1, but they have to move around like crazy and play mind games on them to win. (thats what i do atleast)

yeah the fire resistance cape is pointless, but it can raise your effort depending on how many people are effected and how much effort you already have.
