Ok, so my idea is having a few maps that are vertically based. For example, when entering a stage there would be about 1/8 of the horizontal length of ussual stages, but there would be a blockade between the two teaams (the blockade would be long enough so that long range magic type characters could not shoot through the blockade) so that each team would have to climb up to the very top of the stage and then do battle by either fighting at the top, or by rushing over to the opponents side.
I think this would allow diversity between fighting styles, it could implement new strategies, it would be sweet climbing up and down towers/giant tree trunks/ walls, and it would just be epic to send someone flying off the edge of the top hill and their body just slam onto the very bottom of the stage or even off the side of the stage. anyone else think that would be cool? |

yeah but you wouldnt be able to make it across, only up to the top...and by urself you would probably get raped...unless you had a team of mages with you. that sky tower sounds sweet. there would be so many possibilities with this. I would think a giant tree trunk would be super cool, jumping from branch to branch until you get to the top. But really, i just wanna see someone get rocked all the way to the bottom. Will there be a giant green dragon at the top that throws fireballs everywhere and 1 hit kills things? Then I would <3 this idea.
Oooh ooh, and add pitfalls while trying to climb up! That randomly appear beneath your feet... Okay I'll stop now. But for one thing, there's a single little problem about this idea. At first, I thought you meant instead of the map layout like this [Team 1 Spawn] [------------Filler------------] [Team 2 Spawn] You would have one like this [Team 1 Spawn] [------------Filler------------] [------------Filler------------] [------------Filler------------] [------------Filler------------] [Team 2 Spawn] But then after reading I realized you meant xyz z style. Wouldn't the camera angle be kind of...iffy? |

i meant this [Team 1 Spawn] [------------Filler------------] [Team 2 Spawn] and i dont see how there would be camera problem lol...the game supports almost all angles I like the green dragon idea but it should do minimal damage lol...and only one stage like that, cause if we had tons of random things like that, nobody would play in these kind of stages |

So it's kinda just like having a huge set of stairs on either side leading to an elevated area? Guess that works.
Also, the green dragon thing was just for that person who mentioned Sky Tower. Since that's in another game and there is a green dragon at the top that likes to nuke things. |

Problem.
Fire Mage and any other class that has the "Casting Circle" for special attacks. Those attacks automatically go to the highest elevation of wherever you point your circle at (Go in Plaza, go to the under ground tunnel and try using teleport or fireball, it'll go to the surface rather then the elevation where you are). How do you plan to fix this? Other then that, this is a good idea. |

like i said, the difference in length is too much to go through the blockade. As far as teleportaion and meteors and such going to the top...i dont think thats a problem in need of fixing. it would be the same as trying to dodge any other type of fireball or icicles from anywhere else. Plus the opposing team doesnt have to just stand there and take hits, they can cross down to the other side. and if you think about it...the same goes for both teams so its really even in regards to the different players and such. i see what your saying, but thats not really such a big deal, i mean you see fire mages sniping from the top of the Tiki Totem on the Ancient Ruins level. Basically no different with the acception of height |

Hey I just thought of a possible solution to the teleport questions and concerns.
Your teleport skills would be put on a lock, like when you've been hit with the cowboys lasso. In order to use teleport skills you would have to hit a certain checkpoint on the map. A practical place would be once you reach the top of the stage. |

You can't fall off the screen...though I guess they could make a mode like that You go through it just like any regular stage. The angles change depending on where your at. Plus there's two spawn points so you wouldn't even see your opponent until your at the top or they come over to your side. |

Awesome i would love it a + would be that you think magic cant hit them but while an enemy is on top i can hit them with ice or fire mage.
