Topic: Help Rumble fighter wont start

So I just signed up on ogplanet and I'm really upset that the game I want to play Rumble fighter won't work. I'm running vista (probably uber important) and when I launch the client I downloaded it goes into the Rumble fighter launcher. Now it gets stuck on recieveing file index from server and no progress is made I've waited for hours and still nothing happens.  I've tried reinstalling, different mirrors, and waiting. Nothing works and I'm at wits endHmmm. I just want to play and enjoy Rumble Fighter.:SPlease help and thank you if you doD:.

It usually happens to me when I don't have a internet connection. Try restarting your computer or take off fire wall.

Same thing happens to me on one of my computers. Is there a way to fix it ? i tried rebooting computer already and my internt connection is fine.

mines doing the same thing but i can go on the internet its stupid i just figured out how to get it for windows 7 and it wont start i spent money on this an di dnt wanna lose it all because it wont start wat do i do plz respond soon!:S

download MSVCR71.dll from google then put it in your RF folder.

Not getting file index means you arn't conecting to site. If you are sure your internet is on, turn off firewall/web site blocks. If you do that and you still get error, then you ned to help desk.
 
Now that i thinkabout it, this could be the result of an IP ban

This is werid i was just playing RF this morning. i felt like loging back right now( at this time) and al the sudden cant recieve index???? Huh? firewall is off, conection is perfect.. soo... Help..

 i got the same problem i get to the launcher  page then it sayes recieving file index from  and it doesnt not load or nothing after that can you plz fix it

i have windows 7 and as soon as the loading screen for a fight starts to fade, my game crashes and says something about refering to memory0.00000 does anyone know whhy this is or if this game will even work on windows seven? ichanged my internet restrictions, and compatibility on rf icon but still same problem.

i have this same exact problem. i have sent in a help desk request describing exactly what sarmstrong said above. it goes smoothly, after game start the game never starts. i played it 2 days before tha patch then all of a sudden after patch , no rumble fighter ( also hack shileld never comes up, if this is important).

try this it worked for me. it was originally for the Steam store error but when i did this i was able to connect.

1. Go on Internet explorer (not fire fox)
2. Go to "Tools"  and click "Internet Options".
3. Go to the "Connection Tab"
4. Go to "Lan Settings"
5. Uncheck "Use proxy server for your Lan.
